Chatzky to Kick Off 2003-2004 Executive Forum

Personal finance expert Jean Chatzky will be featured speaker at the first presentation of the 2003-2004 Executive Forum series on Sept. 25.
 
She will give a lunch presentation on Mercer’s Cecil B. Day Graduate campus in Atlanta at 12 p.m. in the Trustees Dining Room. She will then give a dinner presentation in Macon at 6:30 p.m. at Mercer University’s Religious Life Center, located on College Street, off Mercer University Drive.

The Executive Forum is a business outreach program of Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and the Office of Advancement. Entering its 24th year, The Executive Forum provides business professionals with an opportunity to hear nationally-noted speakers on business trends while networking with other business leaders.

As editor-at-large for Money, the financial editor for NBC’s Today and a regular columnist for Time and USA Weekend, Chatzky is one of America’s most trusted financial advisers. Known for her common sense advice, Chatzky is an expert on everything from debt elimination to mortgage options to retirement planning. She also hosts the CNBC series, “Talking Money with Jean Chatzky.”  

In a presentation entitled “You Don’t Have to Be Rich: Comfort, Happiness and Financial Security On Your Own Terms,” Chatzky will outline the financial attitudes and behaviors of happy people and show how anyone can be a part of this group, no matter how much they earn. The presentation is based on her forthcoming book, scheduled to hit bookshelves in October.

Chatzky began her career in 1986 at Working Woman, where she quickly rose to assistant editor. She has also served as a reporter/researcher at Forbes and senior editor at SmartMoney. She has published two books, including Talking Money and The Rich and Famous Money Book. She has served as editor-at-large for Money since 1998.
