Praxis Prep Workshops Offered on Atlanta Campus

Atlanta- After a strong turnout at the first set of workshops, Mercer University will offer a second round of two preparation workshops for the Praxis I exam on Nov. 15 at the Cecil B. Day Campus in Atlanta.

One workshop will focus on the Praxis I math section, and the other will focus on the verbal section of the exam. Both workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Space is limited. The cost is $90 per workshop for the general public and $75 per workshop for Mercer students, alumni, faculty and staff.  The cost includes materials.
 
The first step to becoming a teacher in Georgia is to take and pass the Praxis I exam. The Praxis I Math Workshop will review the most important concepts of arithmetic, algebra and geometry. In addition, this course will provide participants with all the latest tricks and tips for scoring their highest on this important exam.

The Praxis I Verbal Workshop is designed to give individuals hands-on practice at taking the reading and writing sections of the Praxis. Participants in the workshop will learn a variety of strategies and approaches that will help them tackle reading comprehension and on-the-spot essay writing with confidence. Sample readings, questions and essay prompts will be analyzed. In addition, the instructor will give a refresher of grammar basics.
