MACON — Back by popular demand, singer/songwriter and Grammy award-nominee John Berry will perform Sunday, Dec. 21, 7:30 p.m., at The Grand Opera House. An annual favorite at The Grand, the program will include a number of holiday favorites, along with selections from his own repertoire.

Berry is noted for his strong showmanship and ability to move people. When performing “Blessed Assurance” at the Grand Ole Opry, he was given a standing ovation before completing the song.

Berry’s voice is among the most unique in country music. His intimate solo acoustic performances have been enthusiastically received internationally with successful concert tours in Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia. An uncanny ability to tell a story in a song is what endears him to most audiences.

Born in Aiken, S.C. and raised in Atlanta, Berry gained his first #1 single in 1994 with his signature song “Your Love Amazes Me.” Berry has had several other Top 10 releases, all of which exhibit his incredible songwriting prowess.
