MACON – Mercer University’s 11th annual Bearstock music festival, presented by student programming board QuadWorks, will take place April 7 and include a free concert from 1-6 p.m. in Tattnall Square Park that is open to the community.

The outdoor concert will feature six local and regional artists, including Caleb Brown, Kim Meeks, Burnt Bridges, 95. Waves, Simeon and Some Kids.

The family-friendly event will also include food and merchandise vendors and free children’s activities.

“This year’s Bearstock will be one to remember,” said junior Sa’Haara Bryant, a member of the Mercer Live Committee of QuadWorks that plans the annual event. “We have some different music genres we think people will love for all portions of BearStock 2018.”

The outdoor concert will be followed by a private, ticketed concert for Mercer students and their guests from 8-11 p.m. in Hawkins Arena.

“We’re looking forward to another fun day of different musical vibes,” said senior Daryl Jackson, president of QuadWorks.
