Center for Executive Education Offering Open Enrollment Drone Certification, Leadership Programs this Fall

ATLANTA – Mercer University’s Center for Executive Education has planned a series of programs open to the public during the upcoming fall semester addressing a variety of content areas designed to increase specific skills in the workplace.

“At Mercer University, we offer continuing education opportunities through quality professional development and training programs that will advance your career and provide for lifelong learning options,” said Jeff Wolfe, director of the Center for Executive Education. “Do you want to expand your knowledge base, earn that promotion, or are you considering a career change?  If so, now is the time to register to attend one of Mercer’s Executive Education programs.

“These open enrollment programs are in addition to customized programs we offer for those organizations interested in specialized training that is specific to their needs. Our experienced subject matter experts will share their knowledge and skills in a variety of areas that will help you achieve your personal, professional and company goals.”

FAA Drone Certification Test Prep

The Center for Executive Education will host a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) drone certification test prep course on Sept. 12 and 19, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., on the University’s Cecil B. Day Campus located at 3001 Mercer University Dr. in Atlanta.

The two-day, 16-hour course, led by Dr. Anthony Choi, professor of electrical and computer engineering at Mercer, and John Granich, founder of Advanced Airspace Management, is designed to equip individuals for the FAA certification test to obtain a commercial rating to conduct commercial drone operations in the United States.  All participants must be at least 16 years old.

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate

The Center for Executive Education will host a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certificate program on Oct. 9 and 16, 8 a.m.-noon, on the University’s Cecil B. Day Campus in Atlanta or online synchronously via Zoom.

The two-day, eight-hour program, led by Dr. Myriam Quispe-Agnoli, associate professor of economics at Mercer, and Dr. Eric Kushins, assistant professor of management at Berry College, provides entry-level certification for individuals interested in understanding the Lean Six Sigma managerial approach and developing a process improvement toolkit. No prior training or knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or statistics is required to take this course.
