McDuffie Center Cellist Places Second in MTNA’s 2016 Young Artist String Competition

MACON – Zhihao Wu, a sophomore cellist at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, placed second in the Music Teachers National Association's 2016 Young Artist String Competition.  

The competition took place April 4 at MTNA's annual national convention, held in San Antonio, Texas.

Wu had previously won the state and division titles before moving on to nationals.

Originally from Shanghai, China, he is a student of distinguished center faculty Julie Albers and Hans Jorgen Jensen.
