ATLANTA – Mercer University’s School of Business and Economics appears in The Princeton Review’s annual rankings of the best business schools, released on Nov. 7.

Known for its rankings in dozens of categories based on students’ ratings of their colleges, The Princeton Review tallies its 19 categories of best business schools based largely on data from student surveys.

Mercer comes in among the top 252 best on-campus Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. The Princeton Review does not rank the programs from No. 1 to 252, or name one business school best overall.

“We recommend Mercer University as one of the best to earn an MBA,” said Robert Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review. “We chose the 252 on-campus MBA programs schools on this list based on our high regard for their academics and our assessment of institutional data we collect from the schools. We also solicited and greatly respect the opinions of 18,400 students attending these schools who reported on their experiences at their schools on our 80-question student survey.”

The Princeton Review’s on-campus MBA survey asked students about their school’s academics, student body and campus life, as well as about themselves and their career plans. The student surveys that were used for this edition were conducted in the 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years.

“We are delighted to receive this acknowledgement of quality business education by The Princeton Review,” said Dr. Susan P. Gilbert, dean of the School of Business and Economics. “The student-based metric is the higher education equivalent of a five-star Yelp rating of teaching and support received from our talented faculty and dedicated staff.”

The Princeton Review’s business school profiles have sections on academics, student life, admissions information and graduates’ employment data.

In the profile on Mercer, The Princeton Review touts the University for being popular with local professionals, who call it “Atlanta’s most accommodating MBA program for working students,” as well as having one of the only combined MBA/Pharm.D. programs in the country.

Students praise Mercer’s “extremely dedicated professors,” who balance top-notch business skills with a true desire “to help students succeed.”
