Mercer Professors Featured on The Academic Minute National Public Radio Program

MACON/ATLANTA – Mercer University was featured April 27-May 1 on The Academic Minute, a national production of WAMC public radio network headquartered in Albany, New York.

The two-and-a-half minute daily show, hosted by Dr. Lynn Pasquerella, president of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, features researchers from colleges and universities around the world, keeping listeners abreast of what’s new and exciting in the academy.

“Mercer Week” on The Academic Minute included segments by Dr. Jennifer Barkin in the School of Medicine, Dr. Nader Moniri in the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Melanie Pavich in the College of Professional Advancement and Dr. Sarah Gardner and Dr. Adam Kiefer in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Dr. Barkin, associate professor of community medicine and obstetrics and gynecology, details her development of a widely-accepted measure of maternal functioning in the postpartum period.
