Nicely will give a 6:30 p.m. dinner presentation in the Presidents Dining Room of the University Center. Attendance is by invitation only to Executive Forum members.

“Many of our business students have interned with GEICO and become employed by GEICO, so I am particularly excited to welcome Tony Nicely to address the members of our Executive Forum,” said Dr. Susan Perles Gilbert, dean of the Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer. “He has led GEICO through tremendous growth to become the second-largest auto insurer, and I personally look forward to hearing what he has to share with us.”

He was promoted to regional vice president in 1980, senior vice president in 1985, executive vice president in 1987, and president in 1989. Between 1983-1985, he was the regional vice president at Macon's GEICO operation.

Nicely serves on the boards of directors of the Property Casualty Insurance Association of America and the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
